Your Itinerary
Inca Trail Day 2 / Chachabamba / Wiñayhuayna

Machu Picchu
We’ll spend the morning exploring Machu Picchu in depth. With a private guide, you’ll wander through the temples and terraces at your own pace, marveling at the engineering that defies time. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Cusco by scenic train, preparing our senses for the change in ecosystem that awaits us.

Manu National Park
We depart at dawn for Manu National Park. We’ll traverse the Sacred Valley along a spectacular route that descends from the Andean peaks to the cloud forest. We’ll make a stop at the Wayqecha Bio Station to walk along its 40-meter-high canopy walkway and visit the Andean Bear Research Center. As evening falls, we’ll arrive at Manu Bio Lodge, where your cabin overlooking the lagoon awaits you for a talk on conservation under the stars.

Expedition to La Golondrina
Wake up to the song of exotic birds and an optional yoga session overlooking the jungle. After breakfast, we’ll venture into a pristine forest—home to large mammals—in search of Golondrina Falls. You can choose between a 3-hour technical hike or a boat ride down the Piñi-Piñi River.
After dinner, you can relax in your cabin, enjoy a cocktail at the bar, or join one of the fascinating night walks in search of wildlife.

Lake Machuwasi.
We explore Lake Machuwasi in traditional rafts, a body of water that is home to unique species. The afternoon offers a variety of activities: cycling along trails to the “lost plane,” crossing the river via cable car (oroya), or visiting the lodge’s botanical gardens. Before dinner, we’ll visit one of the most modern research laboratories in the Amazon, actively participating in the study of this ecosystem.

Birdwatching
We’ll spend our final morning birdwatching from strategic hides designed to blend into the surroundings. After a farewell lunch, we’ll begin our return to Cusco. This journey doesn’t end when we arrive in the city; it’s the start of your personal commitment to preserving the planet.
