DAY 01

High Altitude Hike and Turquoise Waters

Our tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel between 4:15 and 5:00 AM to start our adventure to Humantay Lagoon. We'll then take a two-hour drive to Mollepata, where we'll enjoy a delicious breakfast to prepare for the day.
After breakfast, we'll continue our journey to the village of Soraypampa. From there, we'll begin our approximately 1.5-hour hike, surrounded by stunning Andean landscapes, to reach Humantay Lagoon. Here, we'll enjoy the spectacular scenery and have the opportunity to take memorable photos of the crystal-clear waters and the glaciers that surround it.
After this wonderful experience, we'll begin our descent back to Mollepata, where we'll have a hearty lunch. After lunch, we'll continue our return trip to the city of Cusco, concluding our tour at approximately 5:30 PM.

Yes, entry to the community of Mollepata/Soraypampa is not usually included in the base package and is paid in cash (soles) during the journey at local checkpoints.

Yes, this tour includes a delicious breakfast in the morning upon arrival in Mollepata and a restorative lunch in the same place after completing the hike.

4. Is it a physically demanding route due to the altitude?

Yes, it's a moderately to highly demanding hike. The walk takes an average of one and a half hours, a steady climb to the lagoon. Since the altitude exceeds 4,000 meters, we recommend walking at a slow pace and being well-rested.

5. What clothes and personal items should I bring?

It is essential to bring warm clothing for the early hours of the day, good walking shoes, sun protection (sunglasses, hat and sunscreen), trekking poles if needed and money in local currency.

6. How will we get around between the different attractions?

All vehicle transfers are done aboard tourist transport. The trip begins with a two-hour drive to Mollepata, then continues to Soraypampa, from where the hike begins.
