Perolniyoc and Ñaupa Church – One-Day Inca Trail
8:00 a.m. Pickup from the hotel. Today we will take a two-hour hike to reach the Perolniyoc archaeological site, a complex built by the ethnic groups that inhabited the Sacred Valley before the Incas. However, during the reign of Inca Pachacútec, the Incas adapted their typical architectural structures to the site.
We will also visit the Perolniyoc Waterfall, which has a drop of over 70 meters, and then explore the Raqay Pata Archaeological Complex.
To conclude our tour, we will visit the Church of Ñaupa, a very special huaca. This has been a place of worship for ancestors, a space for connection, as well as a site for astronomical events and rituals at specific times of the agricultural calendar.
